With the right in the middle in a concert, the American musician Harry Connick Jr suddenly made stop his orchestra to lengthily consider the profusion of sculptures which made the celebrity of Palau of Mùsica.
I want to believe well that all these pastry makings represent a major element of your cultural heritage but me, they card-index me body.

H.C. Jr was right. Oldest music hall of Barcelona, frame a hundred years ago by a follower of the insane architect Gaudi, has what to give the goose flesh to no matter whom. On a side of the scene, a tank of Valkyrie in madness is on the point of crushing a bust of Beethoven.

At the bottom, a theory of Muses to half buried in the wall have the air of mislaid mummies incase, while with the end of the hall, two enormous PEGASE appear ready to jump over your head.

This place is really completely removed from rim, and it is what makes its charm. One evening in Palau, it is like a fairy tale to the acid. And, as strange as that appears, it is the ideal decoration for spectacles completely different from the other. I saw to occur there formations as different as the full orchestra from the Danish radio, the singer of flamenco Diego “El Cigala” or the rockers Tindersticks, and I was never disappointed.

What occurs to Palau is almost always interesting and even in the contrary case, the place deserves a visit. You will have only to open your eyes and close your ears.

Palau of Mùsica Catalana, C/Sant Father My Alt, s/n. Such 902 44 28 82.

The city has over 50 museums, showcasing permanent collections of works by artists such as Picasso, Joan Miro and Antoni Tapies. At the Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya (MNAC) you can see one of the world’s most important collections of Romanesque art. It also has the famous collections of contemporary art housed in museums such as the Museu d’Art Contemporani de Barcelona (MACBA).

Barcelona is also renowned for its wide variety of musical events, which includes all the genres, and has three major venues: the Gran Teatre del Liceu, devoted to opera, the Palau de la Musica, a modern marvel, and the Auditorium, the concert hall designed by Rafael Moneo.

Barcelona is an open-air museum. You can visit it by bus, bicycle or on foot, and enjoy its bustling streets. There are many ways to discover the city and a whole host of things to do, for those interested in culture, for those in search of entertainment or for those thinking about where to do some shopping.

The best way to see the city. With the Tourist Bus, you’re guaranteed not to miss any of the major sights.

Be sure not to miss a stroll along La Rambla. It is one of the city’s landmark sights, a bustling thoroughfare where flower stalls and performance artists jostle for space.

A bohemian atmosphere which you can discover as you walk through the Gothic Quarter, and the Ribera and Raval districts. This is one of the world’s best-preserved medieval quarters. However, if Barcelona is famous for anything, it must be the buildings in the Eixample. If you take a walk around this neighbourhood you will be able to admire architectural masterpieces such as the Sagrada Família and La Pedrera, among other wonders inherited from Antoni Gaudí and the other architects of the city’s home-grown art-nouveau movement, modernisme.

I want to tell you that the parking place out there is so quite expensive. It is base on minutes. We paid about 8€ for less than 2 hours.

A series of itineraries which will ensure you don’t miss out on a single thing.

I have visited the neighborhood of Spain, you know what? I have enjoyed Barcelona so much.
