CAIRO, November 11 (Xinhua) — 4.300 years an old pyramid was discovered in the south of Cairo, at the Egyptian capital, declared Tuesday the Minister Egyptian for the Culture Farouq Hosni.

Mr. Hosni announced at the time on a press conference at the site of the pyramid with Saqqara, to some 20 km in the south of Cairo, that the pyramid is five meters top, of which its initial height would have reached 14 meters.

The pyramid would have belonged to a queen Sechsechet, the mother of king Teti, first king of the sixth dynasty of the Ancient Empire.

Zahi Hawass, general secretary of the Egyptian Supreme council of antiquities (SCA), stressed that the pyramid, buried under sand, was discovered approximately two months ago.

The necropolis of Saqqara is an old place of burial famous for the pyramid with built degrees of king Djéser.
