Rent a scooter or hit the Straw Market, gambling’s on nearby Paradise Island. Wisely avail the Bahamas spring break packages are uber cheap, and you can choose a cruise.

Also remember this part of the island Montego Bay and quieter Negril to adventure but caution for your security.

Panama City, Florida
Panama City and Panama City Beach-PCB have Florida’s spring break top dog billing yet again in 2009, though South Beach Miami will once more offer some serious competition.

A magnitude-7.8 earthquake struck off the Santa Cruz Islands in the Pacific Ocean yesterday, triggering a tsunami warning for several nations in the region.

The quake hit at 9:03 a.m. local time at a depth of 35 kilometers (22 miles), about 260 kilometers south of Lata on the Santa Cruz Islands and 295 kilometers north-northwest of Vanuatu, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center warned the following cities Vanuatu, the Solomon Islands, Nauru, Papua New Guinea, Tuvalu, New Caledonia, Fiji, Kiribati, Wallis-Futuna and Howland-Baker. There were no immediate reports of damage or casualties.

Vanuatu is a group of 83 islands in the southwestern Pacific to the west of Samoa and northwest of Fiji. It has an international offshore financial center and is a popular tourist destination.

The mayor of Davao City, MAYOR Rodrigo called local officials, rescue units, police and military authorities to a meeting last Friday night to prepare an integrated emergency plan in cases of disasters as the National Capital Region is still reeling from the aftermath of typhoons Ondoy and Pepeng.
Duterte said disaster preparedness must be a collective responsibility.

The police and barangay leaders must be the first line of defense and urged them to at least purchase ropes and rubber tubings for rescue operation in case of flooding. The leaders should also organize their respective communities into sectors for orderly evacuation if necessary.
“You study low-lying areas and look for possible areas of evacuation. Buy ropes, use your money. Mindanao may be spared from strong winds but not from inundations.
